These terms cover your use of the VoidNotch app and this website. By downloading or using VoidNotch, you agree to them.

The software

• Community edition is free and open source, released under the MIT licence. You can use, study, modify and redistribute the source under that licence.
• Pro unlocks additional features (such as answering agent prompts from the notch) and is a paid, per-Mac licence. Buying Pro grants you a perpetual licence to use the version you purchased on the number of Macs your licence covers. The licence is for your own use and is not for resale or redistribution.

Licences and activation

A Pro licence is validated against a hashed identifier of the Mac it is activated on, so each licence seat is tied to a specific machine. You may deactivate and move a seat to another Mac within the limits of your licence.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to circumvent licensing, resell licences, or represent VoidNotch as your own product. The VoidNotch name and logo are trademarks and may not be used without permission, notwithstanding the MIT licence on the source code.

No warranty

VoidNotch is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from its use. VoidNotch reads system and usage data on a best-effort basis; readings may be incomplete or unavailable when a third-party tool changes its data format.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
